Waypoint has been a staple in the Cedar Rapids community for over 125 years with its founding as the YWCA in 1894. Over the years, Waypoint has evolved to meet the ever changing needs of individuals, children, and families.
Today, Waypoint upholds our tradition of improving lives through the following programs: Domestic Violence Victim Services, Housing Services, Survivors' Program, and KidsPoint Child Care. These programs, serving over 20,000 people in total in each year, embody national best-practices, research-based approaches, and decades of experience keeping a finger on the pules of the community.
