Over the past year, Waypoint has adjusted services to meet the changing needs of the community. Today, our community is facing a housing crisis, and Waypoint has stepped up to support households in need with getting connected to services to recover from the impacts of the pandemic and the Derecho.
Prior to the pandemic, Waypoint's Housing & Homeless Services would answer around 75 calls per day. Today, we receive over 300 calls each day! As of February of 2021, Waypoint had supported 6,395 individuals compared to only serving 2,218 individuals in the previous fiscal year.
Despite all of the barriers the last year has brought everyone, Waypoint continued to operate all of our Housing Programs, ensuring households in need had access to safe, stable shelter and providing financial assistance through Rapid Re-Housing and Homeless Diversion Programs to quickly return households to permanent housing.

$25 will provide a one night stay at the Madge Phillips Center Shelter
$35 will provide an hour of case management with a Housing Specialist
$75 will provide a "welcome basket" for households who have just secured permanent housing
$100 will provide a month of utility assistance
$500 will provide a month of rental assistance
